We've submitted a round of plans to the HDLC's Architectural Review Committee for approval, and the review meeting will be next Tuesday, May 26th, starting at 12:30 pm in Room 8E10 on the 8th Floor of City Hall. It is open to the public.
This website provides updates on the 71-room hotel and event space we are creating in the former Sts Peter and Paul church and school campus at 2317 Burgundy St. Feel free to reach out to co-owner Nathalie Jordi for more information at stpeterandpaulfeedback@gmail.com.

Streetlight Update
Entergy has fixed the security light on the utility pole at Burgundy/Marigny and installed a new one at Burgundy/Mandeville. We also replaced about a dozen exterior light bulbs that had burned out so the block is looking noticeably brighter!

Streetlight out on Burgundy & Marigny
It's come to our attention that a light on the corner of Burgundy & Marigny has been out for a couple of weeks. The outage was reported to the city on 2/19 and will supposedly take 4-6 weeks to fix. The case number is 101000364482 in case anyone wants to ask about progress, and I will be following up as well.

Site Purchased!
Last week we successfully purchased the site from its previous owners! As previously stated, we anticipate it will take 6 - 9 months to finalize designs and obtain the required city permits, then 1 - 1.5 years of renovation work before we open doors.
As always with rehabilitation projects, particularly those of a historic nature like this one, timelines are a moving target, but we will post updates to this blog with any notable changes.
Danni Productions will be filming in the nun's quarters for one day on Tuesday 2/10. They will be staging on Elysian Fields and blocking off street parking right in front of the church and on the side at Mandeville St. If you have any queries or complaints, contact location manager Evan Eastham at (561) 703-0243.

Zoning Approved!
The City Council voted unanimously yesterday to approve our zoning change and conditional use! This was the last official hurdle, so we are really excited to start the official process of renovating this site.
So, what happens next? It will take 1-2 months to close on the property, and then another approximately 6-9 months to finalize the plans, close the construction loan, and pull permits. We then expect 1 - 1.5 years of renovations before we are able to open our doors. We remain committed to being as sensitive as possible in the renovation and are always available for conversation about how to make that happen.

Now we are off to enjoy the weekend!

Our case is #22 on the agenda, and you can follow along on the livestream here. Apologies for the late notice, but we only got final confirmation on the agenda today.
We will be posting an update after the meeting with the final result. Stay tuned!
