At long last, this week we begin our renovation of the former
St. Peter & Paul church and school complex at 2317 Burgundy St into a hotel
and event space.
Although our renovation will produce more activity on the site than it's seen in a number of years, the project involves no construction of new buildings and very demolition, and we will do our best to minimize negative impacts. And when it is done, the dark and vacant buildings will be restored to their historic beauty!
Palmisano Contractors will be managing construction over the next 14-16 months. On certain days within this period, there will be street/sidewalk closures, deliveries, loud equipment and activity. At times, Palmisano may also temporarily restrict parking adjacent to the job site to ensure pedestrian safety. Activity will mainly take place between 7 am and 3:30 pm. All work is in compliance with the New Orleans Office of Safety and Permits.
We will post regular construction updates to www.stpeterandpaulfeedback.com and Nextdoor Marigny.
